Address: The Harwood Center Location: Downtown The Harwood Art Center presents STIR: A Festival of Words gathers together an eclectic mix of people, poetry, music, visual arts, film, organizations and events in Albuquerque for a special weekend celebrating the profound connections between words and the world. Join us for readings, workshops, performances, collaborations and conversations with special guests and partners including ABQ Slams, Basement Films, Hakim Bellamy, Blue Mesa Review, Church of Beethoven, John Brandi, Lisa Gill, Joy Harjo, La Alameda Press, Jessica Lopez, Demetria Martinez, Adam Rubinstein, Danny Solis, UNM Lobo Slam, and many, many others. The Festival’s Artistic Director is Albuquerque poet Lisa Gill. Events take place at the Harwood Art Center, the National Hispanic Cultural Center, 516 ARTS and more.
